AC: Valhalla had the worst rivers for this. Just a load of "that's not how rivers work!"
Wonder whether any video games exist that alter the flow of water throughout the day. If the source is glacial melt then it decreases overnight when the sun isn't hitting the glacier.
Technically, From Dust had this, but it was all super quickly changing
