Sorry I didn’t post this sooner. I posted last week about being in a hard spot and between all the donations, we got more than I’d expected, which was enough to fill our fridge and pantry as well as that of another family who has a lot of kids in and out for various reasons. So you all essentially fed 8 people for 2 weeks and then some. Needless to say there was a lot of crying.

Bills are still tight, but it’s a manageable tight. I probably could have used to excess to catch up on those, but it didn’t feel right to not share when we knew other parents who were skipping meals to feed kids who weren’t even their own. Not to mention that’s what people sent it for.

I also used this as an opportunity to talk to my kids about mutual aid, which was neat. Can’t thank you all enough. I’m hoping to be in a position to return the favor sooner rather than later.
