It's a bit hard not to be a conspiracy theorist when something like this happens only to the leader of a pro-russia and pro-peace contry in EU.

Maybe, though genuine assassination attempts are pretty common all things considered. It’s just rare that the attacker actually makes it through.

Most European leaders have several. Theresa May, Putin, Lukashenko, Zelensky, the Dutch Royal family, etc, all have multiple attempts by committed attackers.

I didn’t realize they were so common considering I rarely ever see it reported on the news, that and I don’t think any attempts have been made on Canadian leaders (that I’m aware of). That’s actually kind of crazy, Lukashenko? Really? The most recent assassination I remembered was the Japanese president.

There were a few on Trudeau. Last one was in 2019 when some guy tried to kill him during a conference in Ottawa.

This list is a bit silly but has a fair list of some recent assassinations, there are better lists out there, but this is what you get with a quick Google search. This is also only head of states.

But yeah, Lukashenko has had a few nuts try to get him. Every country has a few mentally ill lunatics.
