Ha well then! welbutrin was my first drug too! And they had the same reply when i said 'depression meds for an anxiety problem?' My experience isn't yours but at least the drug is, and despite my concerns it did a great deal for me getting me functioning again.
Ah and i want to add that I'm not happy that your going thru this but that i am happy that you are talking about it. I want you to know that talking with you about this is enormously helpful for me too, because this road is so hard to describe to people not on it that it often feels very lonely.
