Pokemon used to have such a distinct artstyle. It's shame that it's fallen into the Japanese media trap of anime same face.

Nintendo already made that for yoshi, and Kirby.
They have made pokemon games where they were plastic toys and that was rad. Little plush monsters seems like a win
