At first I thought it was a sweatshirt commemorating the George Floyd Uprisings.
But then I saw the Blue Line fascist flag on the right arm, and then over the heart, the insignia of the death squads, NYPD.
When the guy looked over to say what’s up, I just fucking glared at him in disgust. He left not long after. Too bad. Wanted to ask how exactly one gets one of those?
Julian Assange’s father and brother were interviewed by Amy Goodman this morning about a film made about his family’s ordeal through his father’s eyes, told by his filmmaker brother. They played a bit of the “collateral murder” video, and an excerpt of Assange on DN speaking about the detached callousness which with the American drone pilots killed innocent people, including a journalist- all from some cozy office space in Colorado. Afterward they got to go home to bbq poolside with their families. George Carlin had a joke about these being “our Nintendo pilots.”
Assange is being literally murdered by slow psychological torture by colluding Anglo states. Meanwhile Daniel Panteleo, who choked the breath out of Eric Garner’s lungs and stood around him along with seven other NYPD death squad goons as if they had just completed a safari hunt, is living in his home on Staten Island, not in a maximum security prison.
Is it not the height of irony that these “law enforcement” officers are routinely found in courts of law to be guilty of all sorts of malfeasance, including wrongful death, resulting in hundreds of millions of $ annually (over a billion?) - all paid out with taxpayer money to families of the aggrieved and brutalized? Which is why their budgets are so massive.
Officers of the law, found, in courts of law, to be enforcers of their own fascism only. But really, they’re just the pawns of the higher-ups who reap all the biggest graft. Though that only means the beat cops have to rely on ticket-writing scams, Social Security fraud, all kinds of bribes, etc.
War, death, police brutality and murder - all outsourced to detached kids playing video games, or play-acting cops in shoot ‘em up Wild West fantasies, snuffing out the lives of innocent people with families, hopes and dreams.
Socialism must bury war forever, must abolish the police.
We must prevail.
