(this is my first homebrew DWC hydroponic setup, so far so good)

Pretty simple deep water culture build. 3 gallon bucket with an air stone/pump and clay pellets. I used as little rockwool as possible as I was advised that it commonly grows mould as the plant ages.

I haven't yet figured out a proper lighting solution for it though. I don't really have space for a grow tent so I'm considering building something like this .

The weather here has been quite shit for my outside plants and at least half of them have already died so I'd like to transition as much as I can to indoor hydro so I can grow year-round and not have to worry about poor weather conditions.

        sterile reservoir?

You know, come to think of it I should have disinfected the bucket before I started using it, but alas I did not. Hopefully I don't have any issues! So far so good though.

Eh it shouldn't be too impactful, I was going to recommend against it. My experience with it is you'll never really keep it fully sterile and the nasty fungus and other creatures take hold faster.

I use something similar to this guide and everything I have grown using it vs not is noticably happier.
