The "friendly AI" AGI obsessed cultists are malding, coping, and seething about this right now, because E-L-O-N signed some vague promise not to do this a few weeks ago. Also, it has LE EPIC X in it, again, because lead in his brain. :so-true:

Elon literally founded this ai company because he was pissed that he couldn’t get the demo mode of chatgpt to say the n-word.

Fucking idiot. I hope he eventually gets murdered by one of those former twitter engineers he shitcanned.

Elon went on a multi day twitter tantrum about how the ai was woke and also had its language censored. he specifically mentioned it refused to use certain terms for minorities.

He also tried to get the ai to generate transphobic arguments and it kept rejecting the prompt and affirming its support for trans rights lol

the last I heard of his ai plans before today was that he would call his new company “based ai”.

        :cringe:

Right? Both elon and ben shapiro farmed about a week’s worth of content out of the shocking revelation that a company made sure the sales demo for its software didn’t use slurs.

I said it before and I'll say it now: "friendly AI" when billionaires babble about it means "the chatbot will hate people that billionaires hate."

He's created like 6 "companies" this year alone. They're just weird corporate structuring entities.

Most rational system is a King Bazinga borrowing 50 billion dollars so he can be the ultimate Twitter powermod, and while he's burning the place down with hubris, he has plenty of money to spare to do stupid shit elsewhere.

Is this the next corporate vaporware that I'm going to have to hear about incessantly in the media? It's still inexplicable how much they talk about the metaverse.

Yeah it sure is. I'm starting to see people get recruited by over-funded AI companies in a big way.

Honestly I'm pretty relieved by this though. Capital flights of fancy don't last enough for any of these to get anywhere near inventing GAI, so we'll probably get another AI winter before anyone invents anything truly dangerous.

The news will be annoying with it though.

Lots of bazingas are likely to buy in because they desperately crave all the promised bullshit from the Singularity(tm)(r) science fantasy.

It's interesting how all the venture capital is just pinballing between new fads.

He's going to do an AI startup, feed it twitter posts, and then fill twitter with racist bots.

He'll spread it out over 10-15 years claiming that true intelligence is just a couple of years away.

He's openly stated that he is opposed to "woke" chatbots.

      Nazi chatbots are intentional. :scared-fash:

Can you really brute force an "everything app" with money like that? I think the other existing tech giants will have something to say about it.

With good enough programmers you might be able to copy WeChat. But I'm guessing the Musk sycophants that would work for him aren't good enough.

Although in general the concept of an "everything app" is misguided. An "ecosystem" would be the way to go. Capitalism makes it shit by using it as a monopolizing walled garden, but if done right the interoperability of something like the Apple ecosystem would be pretty nice.

All I hope out of this is that someone else ends up with the rights to 'X' as a name and immediately hires Grimes as a brand ambassador for it
