YouTube user Drew Gooden made a great video and rant about regressions in modern car design from his perspective as a driver, with a large portion of the time dedicated to our favorite abomination: the Cybertruck. He also touches on those fucking brighter-than-daylight headlights that have been proliferating for several years now which anyone here, forced to own and drive a car to maintain the most basic existence, likely has seen in person.

I'd love to see a study on automotive crash statistics by region highlighting the predominant brightness range of lights, shape, size, and color of turn signals, and difference in scale of vehicle used. It'd be nice to have hard data on how much damage is done by designing for aesthetics rather than effectiveness.
That sort of data might be found over at /r/FuckYourHeadlights on the Other Site. So many people are fed up with these eye damaging laser headlights they've made a subreddit for it, there is even an organized group with their own website trying to push back against this unrestrained bullshit.
Someone there did a controlled study on a selection of newer cars and posted their findings. The two pinned posts may already have the exact data you're interested in.
Thanks! I'll go take a look.
