I've got roof rights over a beautiful 1500 square foot flat roof, and I'm determined to set up a garden. Looking for resources on how to do some DIY stuff, I'm not about to hire a contractor to install anything. Specifically I'm trying to find a way to build a raised bed on a roof with all the proper drainage and weight distribution figured out.

Actually the person I split roof rights with (unit across the hall) is a mechanical engineer and an inspector for the city (annoying most of the time) but they explained that the roof can definitely take it. They have some beds of their own up there, but lamented that the drainage in their setup isn't that great.
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas / resources
