Russia is too hesitant and weak on the west. I get they are afraid of escalation but I wish these Russian liberals would get it through their skulls that the west is over for them, they aren't going to come to terms with them that work for Russia, they're not going to get sanctions relief and in fact taking too long to recognize the threat landed them in this long boondoggle of a war in the first place.
