    The open slander against Corbyn was very annoying to see back in the day, but looking back quite fascinating. A textbook case of propaganda used to prevent someone threatening to intrude upon the wealth and power of the ruling class.

    Similarly, there's been lots of public debate here in Germany because the socdem government is lowering the threshold where parents do not get subsidies for children from 300k€/year to 150k€/year. It's been portrayed as a culture war issue, and had some banger articles come from it like "We should cut funding to the fight against the [far]-right instead of parent subsidies" from lib-respected chud media like WELT. Of course, the only people affected by this are those with a monthly income of 12500€ to 25000€ - not a progressive reform with say the goal of reducing inequality, but a rare case where the poor are not the ones affected by cuts - affecting only 0,5% of the population who can clearly afford whatever whim they want to subject their child to.
