The Saejima chapter is going to make me scream. It just keeps going. It's a Yakuza game where you ride a snowmobile then fistfight an actual bearagony-shrooms . How did they make this part so tedious

(this is my second time through the game)

If it frustrates you so much you want to quit you could use a trainer for infinite health.

Yakuza 5 is so disappointing. The Kiryu chapter is amazing, but then it deflates and becomes a slog in the Saejima chapter (whose plot is unnecessarily recycled from the previous game) and the underwhelming Osaka chapters. My PC disliking Nagoya made me drop the game outright, despite Shinada being fun.

Osaka is my favorite setting, so I forgive those parts. I love that city. I've been to Dotonbori in real life and just pointed at Yakuza things while soyfacing.

Yakuza 5 was trying to be huge but I think maybe there was pressure from Sega to be as huge as something like GTA. But that results in just a bunch of little diversions everywhere, like do I really need to do a mandatory snowball fight? Do I really need to visit every single restaurant in Japan? I gotta visit multiple times too so I figure out if the karage or the donburi gives me the heat meter boost.

I love this game, and it's probably my favorite one just for the Kiryu parts alone. I don't even mind the Haruka chapters, although Akiyama being there suddenly always feels forced.
