Herbs can be grown easily even indoors.

Containers are good for balconies.

You can get as excessive as possible if you have some good soil around, either alone or as a communal/collective garden.

Do you favour production quantities or ease of growth or permaculture / aquaponics?

Are old style cold frames back in business?

I'm self-sufficient for cannabis. I have 2x4' and 2x2' tents with HLG quantum lights, i'm running no-till organic beds as big as the tents will fit, with blumats for automatic irrigation.

I'm doing my first outdoor cannabis grow this season, in the PNW, in 40 gal half barrels. In all these i'm doing the buildasoil modern mix 2 recipe.

I've also got an in-ground garden plot, I'm growing tomatoes, shishito peppers and rocoto peppers in there. Peppers don't do well in my area.

I've started a hugelkultur pollinator garden from dead trees i cut down. I have some small native plants coming up and blooming there now. Clarkia, birds eyes, wild basil, california poppies, lupines.

Oh that is nice and a good thing for the bees!

Quite a wide area of gardening expertise, too.
