Why doesn't the NDP of Canada at least briefly unify and make a coalition with other smaller, local Social-democratic parties, so that they could win a federal election with more wider support?

Like for example, Parti Quebecois, Bloc Quebecois, et Quebec solidaire in Quebec.

Okay, I get that Quebec has gotten the short end of the stick at the hands of bigoted English overlords for centuries. But those separatist parties seem to forget that there are citizens living east of them who don't want to be physically cut off from the rest of the country.

I'm sorry if I implied that.

I just noted the social democratic tendency of these Quebecois groups would jibe well with the NDP, as an alliance.

On another hand, I thought Quebecois seperatism was replaced here in its political atmosphere with Quebecois sovereigtism, which I thought doesn't necessitate separation from Canada nowadays.
