    I've looked at these locally and it makes me nervous to pay so much and not know what I'm going to get

    They almost look like securities or a futures contract being sold by the farm except there's basically no minimum guarantees or ownership stake, just seems like a really unbalanced power dynamic to me

    its crazy how supermarkets charge like 4x as much for a head of lettuce, folks skip these bourgeois middlemen and get food from the source

    I did this a year ago and it was fun but my partner was both picky and didn't like to cook so we ended up wasting a lot. Beware comrades, only get a CSA if you are responsible!
