I can get some logitech z333 for 70 dollars (still quite expensive imo) and I was close to buying but I live in a small apartment and I think the sub is going to cause some issues with my neighbor below me. I think a good pair of sattelites will do me well but I am also intrigued by having a sub which will make games and music sound better.
I've only really browsed logitech speakers because of capitalism but I would be open to any other suggestions. Max I am spending on is 100 but that's max. Ideally looking for something in the range of 10-80. Also if you have any suggestions for a headset and a seperate mic I can get in this price range that would help too. Thanks

do you have a use-case where acceptable speakers actually matters? you could just spend twice as much on headphones if you're not trying to watch stuff with somebody else and have better sound.
I have the Klipsch promedias and really like the set. I have also had good luck with Edifier for PC and Bluetooth audio stuff
I just have the logitech 30 dollar 2.1 set. GOOD audio is best experienced via headphones, unless you have a big space.
E: Christ, its 60 dollars now. Looks just like the set I bought in 2019 too. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Logitech-Z313-Multimedia-Speaker-System/13216193?athbdg=L1600&from=/search
I'd recommend the Creative Pebble Plus in that segment, they're like $45 and a solid 2.1 set for that price.
I have the set without the subwoofer for my work computer, pretty good all-arounders. At home I have old Klipsch Pro Media's, they still slap over a decade later. I've seen them go for ~$80 at Costco from time to time.
That looks pretty cool, not having the extra wires for the volume control thing is nice.
If you care about sound quality at all skip Logitech. Edifier has a pair with a 4” woofer for $100, which would be a good size if you’re not going to get a sub. Monoprice and Micca are couple more brands to look at in that range.
You could also get something used. Speakers are durable. Might be able to find some Audioengine A2s in that range (doubt the A2+ though)
if you end up going 2.1 and don't wanna piss off your neighbors, get or make some little inverted cone feet for the sub so it looks like it's standing on four ice cream cone points. sound gets quieter when it goes through the air and if you reduce the surface area in contact with the floor itll have to travel through the air first before it can vibrate the floor, subfloor, joists, downstairs neighbors ceiling then the air in their room and their ears.
