    I don't entirely agree with some of the article's conclusions. O'Brien may be more of an "invigorated old guard" but I do believe he comes off as a "left-wing" even if not a leftist. I'm not sure what him being in the "old guard" would have to do with it, to be honest; judging by generations is kinda fallacious, though it is popular nowadays.
