Theyve been sanctioned by the us, which is basically a seal of approval for me. Other than that, i think theyve boosted literacy rates by like 10 percent. They also seem to socialist/state capitalist, somewhat like belarus. Dunno anything else about them tbh.

    For those who didn't know about history of the African country, the founding party was and is still a far-left party. Eritrea should join BRICS to overcome Western-imposed sanctions.

      iirc, China has a port their and a road in to Ethiopia (Eritrean independence landlocked Ethiopia, and they're on bad terms diplomatically, but China is trying to smooth that over)

          Linguistically and culturally, the ruling class of Eritrea has links to the TPLF, but paradoxically they are also adversaries in some senses.
