It seems like something new asking me to enable DRM in order to play the content on my Plex? That doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
Is there something I should do to make this message go away and make my system safer?
I imagine that is due to plex cramming in their own streaming option. So the free stuff you see on the default home page (last time I used it). There is a setting in firefox to disable drm playback, but it looks to be a browser-wide choice.
Idk what drm message you're talking about, but it sounds like another reason not to use plex.
I recommend jellyfin or emby instead.

If you're at-all concerned with DRM protections, it's probably better to use a service that is not reliant on making calls to an outside server. Thats not a comment on the factual accuracy of OP's experience, that's just common sense.
