Peep the person making the post. I’m not about to criticize a child, this is disturbing (among other things I’ve heard Ukrainian children say on the news) but it’s more a symptom of war. It’s concerning that people see this picture as “based” rather than for what it is.
This post reminded me of this article. Just children drawing pictures of war and the end quote made me even more sad.
It's absolutely understandable that a kid in a country at war would draw the victory of their country. They're raised on propaganda it's expected something like that.
Exactly, that’s why I made sure to specify that the reactionary element was the poster calling the drawing based rather than seeing it as a disturbing symptom of war and propaganda. These are literal children and it’s so heartbreaking.
It reminded me of the crude drawings that Guatemalan children made depicting the anticommunists’ war crimes, except that they drew those to help us trust their testimony and imagine what they saw, not to glorify war.
Am I missing something? The source is Rheinmetall? A important german manufactor for arms is not a credible source for such things.
Supposingly, if I remember correctly from a post ages ago, the Ukrainians sent this drawing to Rheinmetal.
even if it were drawn by a child, so what?
kids draw lots of things every day
It’s the reaction to the drawing by the OP and the context of when it was made that paints a very sad picture, if that makes sense.
