Can't really manage it since I'm still in the process of reading Marx but: a community to give a leftist analysis of the macroeconomy. Also serve as a community to discuss modern trends in the field along with their issues (neoclassical and Keynesian). Maybe call it /political_economy instead of /economics
Yes, !political_economy, I like that. Though, that is almost close to a sort of !theory. But I think it is important that we have something that brushes against "normal" "economics".
There was a previous request for the same comm by /u/Ectrayn , so there is definitely some interest as well as people who could mod it (myself included, I suppose)
Whatever the many problems with neoclassical economics, it still is necessary for the socialist movement to have a hard understanding of the economy and how to change it. Political economy, in that sense, is still important
