Still plugging away at comics from the early 80's and I found this series I've only seen advertised in other earlier issues of Marvel. The cover has Frank Frazetta which is cool.
It has its highlights
I'm fairly partial to Marshal Law, and the Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser has some cool early art by Mike Mignola
Marshal Law is good, it was written by Pat Mills who is best known for his work on 2000 AD. As well as writing a ton of classic series there, he was also the magazine's first editor and was responsible for the creators getting credit for their work, going against the conventions of the Br*tish comics industry.
looking at the list I see Dreadstar by Jim Starlin is on there so that's nice, that's supposed to be good 80s space fantasy pulp
The cover designs were pretty dang good. They looked like something published 20 years later.
The Last American, which is another (short) series by 2000 AD creators, is also good.
