    This is amazing. There's so many counterpoints to peoples' claims that human nature is selfish but this is nicely put

      Exactly, if the whole human nature argument was true, then capitalism would be akin to taking an alcoholic to a bar. Any sustainable social system has to encourage socially positive behaviors while inhibiting socially negative ones. In other worse, the primary goal should be to create alignment between people's individual and collective interests. Capitalism very obviously does the opposite, hence why the whole thing is now coming apart.
