St. Martin's Island, Bangladesh's only coral island, was in the spotlight after reports claimed that Sheikh Hasina, in her undelivered speech, mentioned that the US was behind her ouster from power because she did not hand over the island to it. Her son denied this, saying Hasina did not make any such remarks.
It seemed like a gladio op. There was a protest and then the secondary pressure came out of nowhere with unclear roots. Then there was massive deaths and cops claiming "protestors" are violent. Even now if you observed there is still more escalation with targeting minorities.
Hasina implied after taking time Pakistan intel might have had a hand. Now she is directly saying usa interfered.
This remembers me of the 2013 protests in Brazil that helped oust Dilma Roussef. Started as a legitimate movement and then got coopted by right wing forces. The liberal media criticized the protests in the beginning but then started supporting it.
Was this a legitimate movement that got co-opted and taken over by the US? Because that’s what it seems like.
Isn't that how it always works?
