Honestly same, I start to let my guard down among them, and then they say the most heinous shit ever and i'm like "oh yeah thats why they suck ass"
Someone in blahaj.zone that I originally was like "they seem well intentioned!!! give them some faith!!!" later said that the Iraq War was good and we were "trying to save Iraq from Saddam"
(To be clear, the blahaj mods did remove that comment).
Thing is, they WERE really nice about things so it put me off guard. Like instead of using my "I'm too tired for this right now" as an excuse to mock me further they said "get some sleep :)". Not as confrontational and rude as some of the others.
The ones who are just mean and rude about things I can at least somewhat write off. But that person's attitude sucked me in and then I saw THAT.

I once met a guy, really cool, up until he bragged that he joined the army so he could kill people. He had enough money for college, he just wanted to kill people. Also started defending massacres of innocent towns by american troops.
