Howdy, comrades!
So, our situation got pretty rough, pretty abruptly. Our roommate informed us very belatedly that they do not have their portion of September’s rent. We are doing everything in our power to get her portion (which amounts to ~$450) taken care of, as she is between jobs after just returning home from an internship over seas.
On top of that, our food situation is… not great. Getting rent paid is, of course, first priority, but food is definitely something we are also struggling with 😖
Anywho, any help would be super, super appreciated.

I do, in fact, utilize my local food bank, thanks. I also would utilize rental assistance if it weren't for the fact that we are meant to pay rent in 9 days and our local system doesn't move that fast. Secondly, in order to take out a $20,000 loan, you need a much better credit score than I have, my friend. I am disabled - all the way on disability. My income is less than $11,000 a year. There is no way in hell I can get a loan to leave the country.
While I agree with all of your other points (because, yes, this country is fucked), I don't really think my post asking for assistance is the place to vent your frustrations, comrade. Leaving the country isn't an option for me. I am doing what I can to survive in a system I can't escape.
