You just have to avoid actual debates and instead ask questions to avoid embarrassing yourself ig. Like here:

Person A: "blah blah blah socialist state blah blah blah"

Person B (newbie): "you idiot socialism is stateless"

Person C (also newbie): "isn't socialism stateless?"

Person C will get an actual response and will learn more, Person B will get screenshotted and added to a cringe compilation.

Yeaah learned that the hard way. I made an utter cringe post once with way too many stupid assumptions even though I understood like the principles of Marxism and that's it. Past me shouldn't have presented himself as totally sure of these statements, and instead been like 'what should I make of that?'. Just by a simple change of attitude - way less trauma xD. I wonder if the guy in the screenshot learned from his mistake?

Many of us have been there. I can recall some very cringe comments I made about China on r/communism. No one bothered to correct me there. If I did the same here, you can be sure someone would post at least 3 paragraphs explaining why my perspective is incomplete and incorrect. You all are amazing!

<33 Cannot agree more! Thanks to such comrades I turned away from ideas that sure enough would have lead me to Trotskyism down the line. Interpersonal exchange is really important.
