Some people get mad at any criticism of the consumer products they use, no matter how harmful and no matter what better alternatives exist.
One time I got into it with someone about two-stroke gas powered leaf blowers which do obscene amounts of pollution from carbon waste to allergens, but the other person insisted that rakes or even electric leaf blowers were insufficient for their very specific very special lawn and told me to touch grass and all the usual thought terminating cliches because I said what they were using was bad and that there were better alternatives.
