I run a weekly WFRP group and for various personal reasons our two most competent fighters have left the group. This has left the remaining 3 characters (a hedge mage, a social character, and a ranged fighter) in a situation where they are simply too scared to take plot threads, as they might entail combat.

Yes, they have the option (and enough money) to hire mercenaries just to put bodies between them and danger, but that also entails an ongoing cost. They also happen to be at the beginning of Shadows Over Bögenhafen, which is a convenient place to on-board new players.

edit: oh, uh you can just respond to this post or DM me to apply.

      From a DM perspective: Sure.

However, I think the other players may object to a character who is putting them at risk of coming face to face with the Inquisition.

Hmmm, I maybe open but I'm not familiar with the game system, I know a bit about Warhammer lore tho. More 40k than traditional fantasy tho.

The only fighter character idea for the fantasy setting I have would be a warrior of chaos though.

Most of what you know from 40K still applies. It's just narrower in scope, as it's restricted to just the one planet.

Also, "Fighter" is a bit of a misnomer, as there aren't "classes" in WFRP, per se. Like there are a bunch of different careers that fall under the "Fighter" archetype, and even if you don't pick one of them, you can still spec your character to be good at fighting. Chaos warrior is a career, but it's not designed as one you can take from the off. The good news is that the adventure we're playing does give you the option to take that career at some point.
