I was attempting to follow the guide off from the Skulls GitHub page using a Raspberry Pi 4.

I tried making a backup of my BIOS with the clip backwards and also inserted the clip with Raspberry Pi side already connected and on. I'm not sure if this is enough to kill the chip. Most guides seem to reference the CH341A so I'm not sure if it's as fatal.

I'm not sure if the chip is dead or something else is wrong but I keep getting the same "No EEPROM/flash device found message". Any tips or suggestions?

Connecting the clip backwards will likely kill the flash chip. As long as it didn't kill anything else, you can just replace the chip and flash a new image to it.
