After the Dems lost and my friends were having their meltdown in chat about how stupid American voters were I decided to post my beliefs about why they lost, laying the majority of the blame on lost voters due to genocide, cost of living increases, and broken promises from the past 4 years of governance. I immediately got told it was purely due to Americans being misogynistic and racist and none of the reasons I listed were factors. Whilst I am entirely sure for some voters they refused to vote for Kamala for those reasons, I don't think they were close to being the deciding factors in the poor democrat turnout.
I almost want that cumtown bit about the first woman president being a black republican to come true now. Just so that I can point and say "look".
Let's say all men voted for Trump because all men are misogynists. Men are 50% of the population. Why didn't all women vote for Kamala then? What did the Democrats do to gain their votes? What did the Democrats not do enough of to mobilize women?
The next logical leap in this line of reasoning is that the women that didn't vote for Kamala are racist, and that's the only reason Kamala didn't get as many votes as Trump.
Now take a step back and realize how ridiculous this whole line of thinking is. There's clearly more reasons than just pure misogyny and racism at play here. Time to learn about material reality.
