All I know it is made by the former CEO of twitter.

So far, it's been better than Twitter for sure, and more functional especially

I mean I'm mainly using it to follow artists though, your use case may be different

As far as I have seen, it seems to be a bastion of libthink. Lots of lib takes going back and forth and patting themselves on the back over what good people they are. I have seen more leftists remaining on Twitter than migrating over.

Personally I am just sticking to lemmy as a social network of choice.

Bluesky somehow worst than twitter as its ran by insufferable liberals, and the block feature allows you to mass block people on a single click, so they just shove any "tankies" and Palestanian go fund me into a single big fat community list for people to block, as they do their best to drown out everything. Its Bluesky alright, blue like the sky in the Truman show, as they do everything in their power to try to keep the status quo and pretend everything is fine. Also they're super elitist towards people not using English, moreso than twitter lol

I haven't had any luck with it yet, I've followed a number of trans people because that's usually how I get into a new network and so far they've all been swapping terrible lib takes, blaming minorities for not voting for kamala and the like. Not sure there's much of a leftist contingent on there.
