    Assassinations are always political. That's what makes it an assassination and not just murder.

      That's actually a misnomer but an understandable one. Assassinations can be carried out for a variety of reasons. Religious reasons are an example. But yeah, Political stuff usually far outweighs the other potential reasons.

      You could assassinate someone for personal reasons too. Like, if you're a professional athlete, and they're ranked above you
