Discord and privacy friendly don't mix. They absolutely collect your data and scan what you write. Have a look at their settings.
It has zero encryption, more often than not requires your phone number, never deletes your old messages if you delete your account, uploaded files are stored basically forever, all your messages are scanned and indexed, etc. Take a look here:

In the worst way of both worlds, you can create cp grooming discord servers as long as no one reports... But they still collect and sell your data.
Not even close but I use it anyway to keep in touch with all my friends.
Take the good with the bad IMO
