I don't necessarily disagree but wouldn't this post be more suited for c/politics instead of c/worldnews? I mean, there is no article linked and whilst the topic is fresh it is more stating an opinion / sparking a discussion than actual reporting about something that is currently happening.
c/politics is gone now because it was mostly US politics and we already have a c/usa

Smh it still feels odd to me to see discussion posts in a news community - at least for a specific topic (if it was a general discussion abt the Syrian civil war it wouldn't bother me that much tbh)
