    1. when your fellow citizens think Facebook is the Internet,...

    2. our country's revolutionists use the platform for mass media communications - announcements, campaigns, etc.

    3. well known figures earn money from the platform and it assists them in monthly expenses

so, yeah I still use the platform daily.

Nope, deleted account in 2016. Told family I have had the same phone number since 1998, if you can't figure out how to call or text me, then I guess you don't exist anymore.

Marketplace. Yes it’s full of scammers, but I still manage to buy and sell stuff there. Just do local in-person transactions in safe places and you’ll generally be fine. Also, a lot of my acquaintances are still there, so I still have Messenger to keep in touch. But that’s basically all I use it for.

Yes. Need it to keep in touch with certain people.

No. I never really used it much. Facebook is bad and everyone should delete it. Staying in touch with friends can be done with email, chat, or federated services.

Its mainly because of some music groups where I find out about local jams and gigs. But yeah its practically unusable. Have been thinking about starting a friendica instance for the music people.

I still use it to keep in touch with a local Palestinian solidarity group and to talk to family/friends overseas through Messenger so I don't get bent over by the service provider for like €0.50/minute.

Even if I get permanently banned on Facebook too, I'll end up making a new account anyways lmao

It's awful. I'm overseas and so it's useful for keeping in touch with many different kinds of people in different places, but I use it less and less

This post almost make it sound like Facebook is a good place to keep in touch with people. The algorithm just wrecks the place, like with X.

    Too much.

Groups are useful for local stuff and niche interests.

Once you join a lot of groups you get a lot fewer "suggested" posts.

It's pretty much the only social media I use.

I’m not sure if I’m regular, there’s a handful of people who are spread out that I like to keep in touch with. If I didn’t search for their profiles though I’d have to scroll like mad to see their posts though. It’s a right shit show, and I’m sick of the “Good Old Days” pages.
