My run-in with the Hexbear Urbanism community kind of felt like a weird version of one of those subreddits run by conservatives. They're very ban happy if you say the wrong thing like complain about how bad train systems can be in certain cities.

      Huh, really? I don't understand what 196 is about, but I tend to enjoy what gets posted there. Definitely haven't seen anything offensive

    There's one I encountered somewhere that I can't remember the name of where, despite it being general-purpose and not a political community, the bulk of its userbase that is visible is politically imperial, and they'll even clamp down on anyone who doesn't think North Korea is the bee's knees.
