People in the UK will be better protected from illegal harms online, as tech firms are now legally required to start taking action to tackle criminal activity on their platforms, and make them safer by design.

    Reading between the lines in the new regulations is horrifying. The requirement to quickly remove "terrorist accounts" is particularly worrying given the UK government's typical definitions of "terrorism". To me it reads "if you express support for Palestinians, we'll ban you from the public discourse".
