I mean physics is the theoretical study of the universe, chemistry is the practical study of the universe. Literally studying the physical form and makeup and relationships of everything in the universe.

So you know how if you click the first link in a Wikipedia post you'll eventually get to philosophy? I assumed they were doing the opposite: starting their argument at philosophy and eventually getting to cheese.
