Feels like you're missing the point. Not giving in to company greed only goes so far, especially when you're talking about necessities like electric, gas, food, shelter, and clothing.
Idk where I am (US) milk is heavily regulated and more or less interchangeable. And a gallon is a gallon here.
That is exactly the answer to this kind of "natural competition", regulation.
