I'd like to hear what you guys think of certain career paths and whether or not you would recommend them.

bout to graduate high school, no clue what to do. I have like zero aspirations for anything and my parents are practically begging me to find a college or a job or something to focus on before my senior year ends. When I look at colleges the information about them mean nothing to me, they all seem pretty similar. Basically the only thing I would really want in a job is fairly good pay and that the work is in demand because constant job searching sounds like hell, although of course these things are not easy to get, I know that both of these requirements are met in the medical and legal field so I'm curious if any of you have gone down these paths and how it turned out for you. One of the few things I actually enjoy doing is coding, usually fixing bugs in old software to try to use for projects and things, but I have heard so many horror stories about the job field whether it be not being able to get work anywhere to low pay to the high amount of disrespect that comes along with the IT field that I think I could be miserable if I worked as an IT person. I have also been told about Trade fields, and they are inciting, simple work that is in high demand and can pay a lot? sounds great, however the whole promise of high pay and high demand doesn't seem to actually be true when I looked into it, maybe some of you who went into a trades field can put in any input?

Every year the realization of what my adult life will be becomes more and more clear, but the one thing I think I really couldn't bear would be graduating college with no idea of where I'm going and working low end jobs for long hours for the rest of my life.

If it comes to that point I'll seriously just join a freedom fighting group in Syria or something, being a low income wage slave in America will be the last thing I will do.
