Point 3 has the tone of desperation and faith in the enemy's imminent collapse that you'd find in Wehrmacht war journals in late 1941. There were a lot of Nazis writing shit like:
"October 12th, 1941: We turned aside another Soviet counterattack today. Fritz and Gunther didn't make it and Hans was sent to the rear with one arm. This must be the last of the Bolshevik's reserves. Onwards to Moscow!"
"October 15th, 1941: Another Soviet counter attack with a fresh Division. This must be the last of the Bolshevik's reserves."
"October 23rd, 1941: More Bolshevik counterattacks... please dear God let this be the last of them."
"Octoher 28th, 1941: Yet another fresh Soviet Di-"
