australian political discussion on the internet tends to waver between incredibly racist, terminally neoliberal, or whatever the hell friendlyjordies is. it'd be great to have a community for australian leftists to congregate on the internet, as no other space of that kind exists.

cunt's an out and out labor hack. his recent attacks on the AUWU have been particularly irritating.
imo he's ultimately a force for good since he draws a lot of attention to worker's rights, manufacturing consent, and how australia's right is fucking over rural areas. but he's a labor party shill at heart, and will back almost anything they do even when they act to appease reactionaries or fuck people over in the name of mining companies. so while he's got some good points and does a lot for moving white males who might otherwise be chuds to the left he's definitely not a leftist or a socialist by any stretch.
