The Active sort shows me the same posts for several days. Every day I log on and see many of the same posts from yesterday and several posts from even 2-3 days ago, as people's late replies bump old topics back to the top.

I've been switching to Hot every time I load my home feed and I find it a much better experience, as it shows recent-but-popular posts, so I rarely see the same post two days in a row. I also browse New now and then but I really believe that Hot should be the default.

I'm sure not everyone will agree with me and will have their own sorting preference, so could we get a setting to set our preferred sort order per-user? I'd also advocate for the server default to be changed to Hot instead of Active, but if I had a setting for myself I'd be happy.
