I finally got The Outer Worlds since it came out on steam and I have anxiety decision paralysis over the first big "choose which of these two groups to fuck over" quest.
My gut instinct is to cut the power to the stupid outer space fish cannery cause they're a bunch of corporate bootlickers, but I need to know I'm not fucking myself over down the line, plus they just seems so sad and I feel bad about it.
They both suck and it doesn't matter, because they're not revolutionaries they're basically space kulaks and that planet is 100% self-contained and meaningless. The most meaningful decisions in the game are whether you side with the space trot or his space ML second in command and whether you kill the corporate execs or try to make them your puppets, and even those don't matter because they made everything so self-contained and unimportant in the game.
None of your choices in that game matter in any hugely meaningful way so play how you feel like it and enjoy the ending slides.
Thank you for confirming that, my anxiety has gotten real bad this year, (for some reason) so I was just paralyzed with indecision.
If you leave it on, you can force out the leader of the cannery and put the woman who's the leader of the splinter group in charge.
That sounds more ideal than just picking one and fucking off, do I just not interact with the power conduit or do I need to divert it to the cannery and then talk with her?
If I remember right she ends up kicking out everyone who isn’t part of her group though
Ah goddamnit, maybe I should just default to murdering everyone with lasers
