        You need an update, the natsec apparatus has backed off the genocide claims, as the evidence to the contrary was overwhelming.

        They claim there was mistreatment, but admit China is not trying to wipe out their uyghur population.

              the worst the Chinese are probably being too prescriptive religion wise. Like when they overruled the Catholic church and appointed their own bishop which they really didn't need to do because the Catholic church isn't in the habit of preaching lack of obedience to the government

              the later is a legitimate criticism of China's approach to abrahamic religion as they are getting in fights they don't need to becuase they aren't taking the time to understand groups they're governing
