Tibet was not recognized by a single country other than Mongolia. It emerged with countless warlord states during the political upheval of early 20th century China. The Nationalists also considered it part of China and to this day Taiwan claims ownership of Tibet, considering it part of Chinese territory.
They fucking annexed them forcefully. I am not defending past goverments actions but i dont think a forceful annexation was the answer
