We can assume how hexbear users feel about themselves. I’d be more interested in how local users feel.

    I can’t figure our if their politics are left or right, and how many layers of irony are involved.

    In the surface they just seem enthusiastically confused about life.

      We lost track of how many layers of irony we were on a long time ago, but we're 100% on the hard left.

      Left or right is a bad metaphor anyway. Or at least obsolete if it used to work. I had a group trying to convince me war was bad in all circumstances, but Ukraine shouldn't fight bad after it was invaded. It wasn't Russia's fault that they invaded. It was Ukraine's fault for resisting causing the war. This naked transparency actually helped. They're just pro Russia. Good, bad or ugly, they just like Russia. So they don't bother me anymore. But I also don't engage because it won't go anywhere.
