Working on a list of the best, the funnest, the most memorable films Latin America has to offer. Short film, animated film, documentary film, it's all good.
So far I mostly have Mexican cinema (while still feeling Mexican-American cinema could use some entries), so I'm open to hear any suggestions to add to the list.
Let's show everyone how we do art, carajo!
-il siciliano(2018): Documentary about an old man who was active in the bohemian/party scene in santiago some decades ago and now tries to live up to his glory days
-El boton de nacar(2015): Weird documentary about the different sides of water (its much better than it sounds and talks a little about the chilean dictatorship
-Taxi para 3(2001): I like this movie
Time for Chile to shine, thank you so much Cherufe! These bad boys are all added!
oh my god that movie looks awesome! and it looks like an excellent companion piece for Roma! Absolutely added hopeful, thank you! let me know of any other flicks you consider important of brazilian cinema, even if they're not like big award winners, sometimes films that are just a big part of the popular conscience are something I'm interested in adding too.
a good film that also has leftist stuff in it? mulberry, you know these are getting added.
By the way, I like that you're calling me by shorter versions of my user handle
